The opening of The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, ushered in a new era of luxurious resort travel to Hawaii. The Pink Palace of the Pacific is LEED Gold Certified and one of the key components of energy efficiency is its solar thermal system that heats hot water and pool heating, achieved through 40-parabolic concentrator tube collectors on the rooftop of the exclusive Mailani Tower.
